AT A11 PEFORMANCE, WE FOCUS ON CREATING A MIND-BODY CONNECTION TO KEEP OUR BRAIN AND BODY READY EVERY DAY FOR ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
To have a healthy body, you need a healthy mind. This is the key to achieving a balanced, holistic lifestyle.
Your brain can be pliable just like a muscle. Keeping our brains active is at least as important as keeping our bodies active. That is why we should spend the appropriate time and energy training our brain the same way we do our muscles.
Cognitive wellness, maintaining a positive mindset, brain training, and getting enough quality sleep are all critical for both your athletic performance and overall well-being.
This starts by changing the amount of media we consume and adjusting our sleep habits to keep us focused and disciplined. Sleep is the time when your body repairs and recovers. If you don’t get quality sleep, you won’t reach your physical or mental peak. 6, 7 1/2, or 9 hours of cool, quiet sleep, while waking up and going to bed at the same time every day, gets your body on a consistent sleep cycle.
Tip: For deeper and more restful sleep, you can try our partner's over a ChiliSleep to help keep your body temperature regulated at a cool temperature during sleep.
Physical activity also positively affects your sleep, so try to exercise every day, even if it’s only for a few minutes. One of the biggest negative factors to our sleep is from exposure to the blue light emitted from electronic devices before bed. It makes falling asleep more difficult, so the longer you can limit your screen time before you lie down, the better. We suggest limiting screen time an hour before going to bed.
Prioritizing your mental fitness, starting with your sleep, is the first step to building mental toughness so you can approach daily challenges with focus and discipline.
